*UPDATE* (3:07pm EST): All Fortnite servers are back up and running!
If you were hoping to test out the latest Fortnite update on Wednesday night, chances are you were disappointed. Shortly after the Fortnite 3.5 patch went live, Epic Games’ servers crashed. And ever since, the game has been nearly unplayable.
According to the company’s status page, Fortnite began experiencing login issues around 4:00pm EST Wednesday afternoon. Shortly after, all Epic Games services were taken offline to investigate the cause of these login issues. Hours later, online services returned, but only for a short time, as the newly repaired servers could not handle the massive amount of traffic.
We're bringing the servers offline for emergency maintenance. We apologize for this inconvenience. We currently have no ETA on when servers will be back up. Stay updated with our status page here: https://t.co/3y0X6buriO

As of right now, the Fortnite servers are still offline, with no end in sight. Once the servers have fully recovered, or if Epic Games provides any additional information on the status of the servers, we will update this post. So stay tuned to Digital Addicts for the latest information.
Fortnite 3.5 Patch
For those of you waiting for the game servers to come back online, here’s a quick run-down of everything new you can expect to see in the latest Fortnite update.
Port-A-Fort is perhaps the biggest change you will see in this week’s Fortnite update. This single-use grenade will instantly build a three-story tower at a location of your choosing. Simply throw the grenade at your feet and watch as your own personal fortress is constructed around you. Complete with over-hanging ramps and a ground-level door for easy access, this new “rare” quality grenade will be an instant hit among new players and veterans alike.
The new Port-A-Fort grenade isn’t the only thing to look forward to in this week’s update either. The popular 50v50 LTM (Limited Time Mode) will also be playable for the next several days. This time around, several changes have been made to make 50v50 even crazier. The most notable changes include, more floor loot spawns, greatly increased resource gathering, and tons of additional ammo.

Console players rejoice! One of the most requested control options for both PS4 and Xbox One has finally arrived. As part of the Fortnite 3.5 patch, players will now be able to choose the “builder pro” layout. This control scheme binds each of the four building options to a dedicated shoulder button. Allowing players to quickly swap between building options on the fly.
