Apple Watch Crashes Before Daylight Savings

With Daylight Saving Time (DST) coming up, the Apple Watch Series 4 is having some issues. A Daylight Saving Time bug is causing the Apple Watch to keep crashing and rebooting. Despite being named as the best smartwatch around, it’s still susceptible to bugs. Apple users in Australia have reported many cases of their watch being unusable because of this issue.

Apple Watch Crashing And Restarting

Now that Australia’s clocked has moved forward by an hour, this change has caused problems with the Apple product. The watch appears to be stuck in a reboot loop and unable to stop. Leaving many users confused and frustrated as they woke up in the morning.

One Apple User:

“We had daylight saving this morning at 2am where the clock was brought forward for an hour. The watch was stuck on a reboot loop and would not charge up or restart.”

According to 9To5Mac, the watch keeps loading the complications, then fails and restarts. This continues to happen until the watch inevitably runs out of power. The main issue is with the activity complication, which tracks exercise time, calories burned, and other tasks in a 24-hour period. With the change in Daylight Savings, the watch is having difficulty accounting for that hour missing.

The Apple Watch Is Stuck On A Reboot Loop

Even though the issue should fix itself by tomorrow, many users want the issue fixed now. How can you check your messages from Best Cell Phone Spy Apps and others without a working watch? Apple instructs users to leave their watches alone until the problem is fixed. The bug-fix software should be released to prevent this from happening to other countries.

Europe experiences Daylight Savings at the end of October and the United States follows in early November. Apple has some time to come up with a solution but it may affect us too. This isn’t the first time that Apple has had to deal with a Daylight Saving bug, they have a history of issues surrounding this time of year. In 2010, many iPhone users woke up at the wrong time because their alarms didn’t go off.

Update: The Apple Watch Series 4 has returned to normal function. Apple will release a bug-fix to prevent this from happening to other countries.
