Over the next few weeks, Netflix will be adding 100 new profile icons to their streaming platform. They are doing this to celebrate the 5-year anniversary of Netflix profiles being launched. The profile icons have also been long overdue for a “fun makeover”.
The traditional icons will still be available with minor changes to the penguin, super hero, and mustached man with sunglasses icons. Character profile icons from Stranger Things, Fuller House, Queer Eye, Marvel’s Iron Fist and other shows will be available for users to choose from. With this update, users will now have a wider selection of icons to personalize their profile.
In Netflix’s recent blog post about this news, they said:
“We’re thrilled to give you a way to show your fandom and make your connection with Netflix more unique.”
The company truly cares about its users and giving them the ability to express how much they love being part of the Netflix community. If you’re the only one using your account, you could have different Netflix profile icons based on your mood. How cool is that? Below is the official video announcement for this update.
The icon changes will occur on the Netflix website and mobile and TV apps. Along with this new update, Netflix recently redesigned their TV interface to be simpler and user-friendly.
